Bob Higley
Bob Higley is excited to be working with Parables TV and sees it as the new paradigm in Christian television. He points out that there are numerous faith channels that primarily feature sermons and teaching programs but none that feature 24 hours per day of Christian movies. He believes Parables is filling a void and providing an important service to the world. He explains further that most people can’t remember the last sermon preached to them but can recall many details of the last movie they watched. He reminds everyone that Jesus told stories and parables that people could remember. Today’s Christian movies are the modern day parables that are just as important now as they were 2000 years ago.
Bob is a television industry veteran with 34 years of experience ranging from directing television programs, managing TV Stations to acquiring distribution for the worlds largest Christian television network in over 100 million homes. As Vice President of Cable for the worlds largest and most watched faith channel, Trinity Broadcasting Network, Bob and his affiliate sales team grew distribution of TBN from 12 million households to over 100 million homes and available on 8,000 cable systems. He successfully negotiated affiliation contracts with the largest services including Comcast, DirecTV, Cox, Charter, Dish Network, AT&T Uverse, Verizon FiOS and many others. Bob and his team also launched four other networks for TBN gaining millions of cable and satellite households for the Church Channel, JUCE, Smile of a Child and Enlace.
In recent years Bob handled international deals with distribution in Europe, Africa, Asia and Latin America. He also began working in the new frontier of online digital television and negotiated the carriage of the first Christian channel to be added to America’s popular Roku service. Bob has a thorough knowledge of the cable and broadcast industry and is keenly aware of the many changes that are on the horizon that will drastically change the way most people view their favorite TV programs. He plans on making sure that Parables TV is in the forefront of these changes.
