You know it’s faith when it’s all you have left. Gary Busey, Margot Kidder and Howie Mandel star in Tribulation, the third in the Apocalypse series. Police detective Tom Canboro (Busey) awakens from a coma only to discover that he is living in the time of the Great Tribulation. The Rapture has occurred and the world has changed dramatically. In an interesting twist unique to this movie, millions have disappeared and no one who remains can even remember that they ever existed! The Mark of the Beast is everywhere and those who have not accepted it are ruthlessly hunted down. The most hunted are Christian believers who are exposing the self-proclaimed Messiah as the devil himself. A top-quality drama.

This intense look at what may happen after the rapture is sometimes confusing, often heavy-handed and thoroughly obtuse. Meant as a cautionary tale, with an important message from the Bible’s Revelation, the muddled direction and melodramatic acting by veterans who seemed to be in the beginning stages of drug rehabilitation left this reviewer wanting a better production. For a more effective film dealing with the subject of those left behind after Christ’s return, get the video LEFT BEHIND, by the same production team. This one has a very plausible setup, with TV reporters and news footage of calamities used to set the premise of a catastrophic worldwide mystery. Meant as a soul-winning tool, this thought-provoking video addresses questions about the rapture and subsequent events.

It contains violence, including shootings and beatings, and the subject matter of the end times may frighten little ones.
