2011 Crystal Dove Seal Award Winner for Best Limited Theatrical Release - "The Frontier Boys" is a powerful drama. T.J. Lewis, a high school basketball star makes most of the points for his team. He and his buddies became known as the Frontier boys some years earlier when they went fishing and escorted a fish, "the big one", into a restaurant to sell. A reporter tagged them with being new frontier boys and the moniker stuck.
Temptation lurks around the corner in the form of a gang leader who lures a young man named Mike into a money-making scheme which turns out to be a drug ring. Mike's younger brother, Brent, is one of the Frontier Boys. Mike tries to pull Brent into the "business" and things quickly escalate into a drive-by shooting with T.J. as the victim. The tragic event affects the Rayders in a big way. Only God and a miracle can turn events around. Brent must make a choice as his brother Mike is responsible. Can Brent turn his own brother in? And what will become of the player who was shot and now hovers between life and death? How will these close, lifelong friends deal with this horrible event?
The cast members faithfully portray their characters well in this edge-of-your-seat adventure under the direction of John Grooters. "Frontier Boys" fills a gap in inspirational storytelling directed at tween and teen boys, with powerful life-lessons delivered in this exciting, action-packed movie.
